A Spellbinding Storybook Of Dreams And Nightmares A Spellbinding Storybook Of Dreams And NightmaresHonoured to present the FULL interview with one of the most influential, experimental and uncompromising performance artists of our generation - Jarboe @jarboelivingWe talk in depth about the release last November of the extraordinary Sacrificial Cake (originally released in 1995 alongside with Michael Gira’s Drainland), her use of personae and expressive language, her ability to create conflict emotions, her creative drive, introversion and her relationship with her parents, the early days of SwansJarboe was also gracious enough to talk about her live performance of I Crawled on the “final” Swans tour of ’97 - “one of the most visceral, terrifying and compelling live performances I’ve seen.”Listen with the sound on.https://mu-magazine.com/a-spellbinding-storybook-of-dreams-and-nightmares-jarboe/Words: Giles @northernmunkiActive link in stories📸 Marilyn Chen#jarboe #swans #sacrificialcake #illusory #performanceart #newyork #nowave #industrial

It’s literally just more debt. There’s absolutely no upside to feeling competitive in art.”Greta Kline of @frankiecombosFor the first time, the full conversation with the wonderful Greta, Lauren, Luke and Alex

“I don’t want my poetry to be emotionally prea “I don’t want my poetry to be emotionally preachy, I want it to utilise the techniques I’ve seen in a lot of the writers that I really love reading. Defining myself as a punk, many early poems were written from a place of anger. But recently, a lot of my page poetry has become more joyful or reflective.”A wonderful conversation that we’ve called “A New Now” between the brilliant @punkofcolour and @erdos1687 and @northernmunkihttps://mu-magazine.com/a-new-now-2/#punkpoetry #jaymitra #punkofcolour📸 Jeanie Jean

MÜ Magazine began as a crazy idea born from a des MÜ Magazine began as a crazy idea born from a desire to produce a new and exciting print publication.
In the last two years, we have made seven eclectic issues and are looking to print MÜ 8. No mean feat considering everything has been driven by passion and sheer hard work; quite an achievement in these testing times.
Team MÜ volunteers our time and dedication, and we have no whizzy investors. Everything we’ve done has been through unquestioning belief in the people we write about and the relevant issues we raise. To continue going forward, we look to you for your support. Unfortunately, MÜ has fallen victim to the cost-of-living crisis, and subscriptions and sales have fallen.
We could give up and fold the magazine and aspirations away, or we could ask you to dig deep and help us get through this.We decided to hold our heads high and ask for your help. All past issues of MÜ and limited-edition posters are on sale at a massive 30% off! You can complete your collection!
Let’s hope we can raise the much-needed funds to print MÜ 8…
Thank you in anticipation of your kind support,Here’s to a joyous and exciting 2023!
